Freedom from Sexual Compulsion

Dorothy Hayden, MBA, LCSW, has been helping sexual compulsives and their partners to find satisfaction in love, work and sex for 30 years. Considered an expert in the field of porn/cybersex addiction, she has been interviewed by such media outlets as British HBO (on sadomasochism) and CNN and 20/20 about the pernicious effect of cybersex addiction on the individual, the family and on society at large. She regularly presents to the therapeutic community on the treatment of pornography addiction.

In addition, Dorothy has presented at The Eulenspiegel Society (TES) and Domme/Sub friends about the psychodynamics of BDSM. She also spoke about sex addiction in the BDSM community at Paddles, a NYC "kink" club. WBAI radio has interviewed about the psychological workings of BDSM.

Dorothy also wrote an ongoing advice column for the BDSM community, called “The Black Leather Couch”, in Prometheus, the magazine of the Eulenspiegal Society.

She has authored over 30 articles and 100 blog posts as well as the book “Total Sex Addiction Therapy -- A Guide to Therapy” (available on Amazon.)

Ms. Hayden was trained in psychoanalysis at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, in hypnotherapy at the Milton E. Erikson Institute for Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy and in couples counseling at the Training Institute for Mental Health.

She holds an MSW from New York University and an MBA from Baruch College.
